Shannon directed the team that cataloged the historic features of the Goodhue wing of the Los Angeles Central Library and authored a character-defining features matrix and plan review memo that included the history and analyzed the proposed changes for the first and fourth floors of the library. The building consists of an original 1924 wing and a 1993 addition. Shannon reviewed the rehabilitation plans and gave recommendations to ensure the historic features are retained in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
